Violet Kazue De Cristoforo papers, 1987-1988.

Contains paper presented at the 5th annual conference of the Association for Asian-American Studies and expanded into an affidavit researched and written by de Cristoforo (formerly Kazue Matsuda) to challenge inaccurate and misleading references made by Rosalie Hankey Wax in Doing fieldwork: warnings and advice, and in The spoilage, at Tule Lake, Calif., 1944-1945. Includes photocopies of original letters and newspaper clippings of letters to the editor written in response to an article concerning her book, Poetic reflections of the Tule Lake internment camp. Also includes 2 issues of Rikka (v. 12:1 and v. 13:1) concerning de Cristoforo's brother, Tokio Yamane, and her own internment experiences.
